Highland Peaks
 

This tour is only available with a guide
as we depart well off the usual tourist routes
high into Otago's alpine tussock grasslands.
 

 We look at some of New Zealand's unique
alpine plants, and examine the ecology
of alpine systems.

We look at the cultural history of the grasslands
including early goldmining,
before returning to
Highland Peaks.
